Aavegotchi Petting
Orium Aavegotchi Petting is a decentralised service that automatically pet Aavegotchi NFTs.
Petting is an important aspect of the Aavegotchi game experience. Every 12 hours, NFT Owners must submit a transaction to pet their Aavegotchis to increase their kinship. The greater an Aavegotchi's kinship, the greater rewards can be extracted from the game.
The Orium Aavegotchi Petting product is a non-custodial service that automates the process of submitting Pet transactions. Under the hood, it leverages the setPetOperatorForAll function of the Protocol to not put any assets at risk. Orium has also verified the smart contract at Polygonscan for transparency purposes.
How is the Service free?
The cost to run the service isn't high, so we decided to make it entirely free. However, we do suggest everyone join our Discord to stay updated on any future changes.
Good to know: If you lent your Aavegotchis, they will be in the borrower's wallet and won't be pet by the service. Alternatively, you can ask your borrowers to use the service.
Enabling the Service
To enable automatic petting in your wallet, all you need to do is head to the platform and submit the two transactions indicated.
The first transaction allows the smart contract to pet your NFTs on your behalf, and the second adds your address to the list of addresses to be petted. If the transactions succeed, you should see the following screen:
If you are unsatisfied with the service and want to opt-out, you can do so by clicking the revoke button and submitting the two transactions that will revoke the permissions previously given.
